Unfortunately yes. Tow trucks damaged my car can really happen and can be expensive to fix. This is why it is extremely important to make sure your tow truck company/driver are up to date with new cars and new equipment.

If you suspect damage has been done to your vehicle contact the tow company and settle it with them. All tow companies are required to carry on hook insurance coverage to cover damage that can happen when in the process of towing vehicles. Keep in mind that not all damage can be prevented or is due to a tow truck drivers negligence. For example, if you have got your vehicle stuck on a bolder it wouldn’t be the drivers fault that in the process of getting your vehicle off there was damage done to your vehicle.
